OUR MANIFESTO
We declare:

Gentrification of our people stops now!

We will take care of our own.

We will get back our neighborhoods.

We will purchase housing for our people to live in.

We will buy, rebuild, or build new properties on vacant and abandoned lots and properties.

We will use our vacant lots how the respective neighborhood sees fit.

Housing inequities will no longer be an issue because we will manage our own.

Homeownership will be affordable and attainable to all BIPOC people.

Homeowners and potential homeowners will have access to the necessary education, rights, and resources to keep and maintain their homes, and then pass them down as legacy.

Liberation of the land will happen through reparations for those who have suffered genocide over it.

#FREETHELAND
BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
Mission
Combatting generational poverty via housing justice & reparations.
vision
The mission of our housing team is to combat generational poverty and marginalization of home ownership that exists for Black people in the city. We believe a foundation for racial justice and equity begins when wealth is redistributed, and reparations given by people who have historically benefited from systems of white supremacy, colonialism and capitalism.
Our housing team works to find properties that could be purchased with the goal of individual family ownership or spaces which could be developed for the use of community infrastructure.
We want to make sure that the stories of Housing injustice in Louisville is known. If you want to tell us your story and amplify it, let us know.

COMING SOON- Stories from residents who have survived housing injustice.
"we want decent housing, fit for shelter of human beings. we believe that if the white landlords will not give decent housing to our black community, then the housing and the land should be made into cooperatives so that our community, with goverment aid, can build and make a decent housing for its people."
